Tuesdays in Thomas | Thank you for your support

The Tuesdays in Thomas series is back and I’m so thankful for a way to share with you what’s on my heart. Today’s post doesn’t involve tips or fun ideas. It’s just a simple thank you for your continued support for this dream of mine! I am so grateful to each and every person I’ve had the privilege to serve over the last six years.

Where it all began

If you don’t know my story, I started my business nearly six years ago as a college freshman. I had no idea what God had in store for In His Image at that point. I was seventeen and just wanted a fun outlet where I could make some money while putting myself through school.

2016 was a hard year for us, we had experienced so much loss. Thomas’s dad passed away very unexpectedly and that left such a huge hole in our hearts. It was when we found ourselves sorting through image after image of him that it hit me-photos are the only thing you have left. Every life leaves behind a legacy and that’s what I wanted to document for people-the beginning of their legacy.

After shooting my first wedding, I knew this wouldn’t be just a job I had that helped put me through college. I wanted a career as a “professional wedding photographer”. I fell in love with all aspects of wedding days, but most importantly fell in love with serving others.

Why IHI is Different

To me, every wedding, session and season are not just by chance. It’s not just a business transaction. I believe that humankind is created in God’s own image; that every life has value. I know that every person that I photograph has a special story and that’s exactly what I aim to document. I want to capture unique smiles, genuine love and sweet touches.

I promise to be there through it all to serve you well. I’m the dress fluffer, hair pinner, I’ve even sewed a bridesmaid up in her dress- true story! I’m willing to go above and beyond to ensure your day is nothing short of perfect.

Sure we have special heirloom items from our grandparents or fun memories from the places we’ve traveled to. But without those pictures documenting our lives, we have no way of looking back at them. I wanted to be able to preserve those moments that become only memories otherwise lost in time.

In His Image is the place where I serve everyone in a way that’s glorifying to God and makes them feel their worth in Christ. I believe beauty and love are not skin deep. While photographing beautiful luxury florals or stunning venues are fun, the true reason behind what I do is not just about the wedding day.

Marriage is the Foundation

I love working with couples who are genuinely invested in their marriage, not just the wedding day. Every couple needs to know and celebrate the fact that their love is so much more important than the wedding. I want them to invest in the things that are going to outlive the big day. Marriage is the foundation for your legacy. It has to be a strong one!

Looking back at the last six years in business is so humbling. I am still serving people who supported me from the very beginning. The girl who was shooting and editing photos in between her college classes would be proud.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support. I truly could not have done it without you! I cannot wait to see where God leads me in the next years to come.

xoxo,

Zoe
